Wallace's Newest Message
My Favorite Besides Acting I will keep making dramas this year. I have some new ideas about playing different roles, and I hope I can do better and better in acting, creating characters that are real and soulful. I believe you guys are also looking forward to that.
Last, but not least: Thank you all.
Wallace Huo, Jan 22, 2007
A brand new year again. I was supposed to be excited, but I am not, because each year I feel there is still much to be done. So the new year is a moment for me to review my last year…..weird, isn't it? I remember on New Year's Eve when people were partying to crazy, I ate beef noodle soup at some small restaurant downstairs of my apartment building. I ordered an extra appetizer and root beer to celebrate the New Year, alone by myself. Me eating the noodle soup at a small restaurant and them screamed and shouted outside for the firework shows…. What an uncoordinated scene! What I am trying to say is, I didn't try to create that solitude on purpose; I am always like that…… So I don't really like the idea of celebrating the New Year and other festivals, and even my birthday… My colleagues and the staff members of the drama team bought me birthday cake; I never want to make it a big event. In fact, I kind of like myself this way….. This self-effacing personality keeps me sober and I never lose myself to this business. I hope I become better in a serious sense, a true growth of mind….
When I don't have to work, I do a lot of sports…. Basketball, jogging, or just walk, sometimes weight training. As I grow older, I become more careful about my health. Basketball is my best love and my mentor. When I play it, I could totally forget the outer world if the feeling goes right…everything around me seems to be slowed down…anyway, it is beyond my words. Besides acting, basketball is another way I gain self-confidence. Those great NBA stars are my role models. In addition to the skills, their determination and personality are also something I would like to learn. I have a habit of putting on the basketball shoes of my favorite player when I walk to the drama studio; by doing so I believe I can turn in the best stuff of me in the acting. Isn't that childish? But I do believe it!

About Wallace
He does not seem to belong to the show biz. Urbane and gentle, Wallace Huo is always calm and compliant before the camera, and sometimes even too shy to do a bit show-off, as all other stars do for themselves. Nevertheless, he answered every question with politeness and patience. Without urging us with a pressing attitude and a packed schedule, he sailed the interview in a pleasant and peaceful breeze towards the end.

Wallace Huo: To Love, to be Loved
TV Series Vol 145, Nov 01, 2006
tanslated by orion
Our conversation with Wallace Huo happened in the filming studio of Modern Lady. It was more like a mutual communication rather than an interview. Emerald on the Roof is no doubt a landmark in Wallace's career. As sweetness only arrives after a lot of hardships, Wallace was happy to share his love and sorrows in making dramas since I told him I was a big fan of Nien-Chong, his role in Emerald.

WALLACE HUO: THINK BIG OF ME

2006.10.19
translated by orion
It is a whole different story whether one has confidence or not. Unexpected success brings overnight self-confidence, flamboyant and blatant like a rustling firework, whereas confidence accumulated by hard work and self discipline is quiet, calm, and enduring.

The Man Who Steals the Show
Meg and orion
Sitting quietly at the corner, the pensive-looking young man seemed to distance himself from the buzz in a filming studio. Disguised in a T-shift and jeans, the plainly dressed Wallace Huo could be mistaken as a contract worker or staff member, but the thick stack of scripts at his hands hinted to us that he is our leading character in this drama.

Wallace Huo: His Words for Love
霍建華 大男人愛情宣言
September 2006 (City Lady)
Translated by orion
Although men with delicate faces are now the mainstream fashion, Wallace absolutely objected these compliments on his look. “Those who really know me appreciate me as a typical macho guy, from face to feet.” Wallace said. In fact, this Capricorn even embraced a bit chauvinism in relationship.

Wallace as a special guest in Beijing TV Festival
霍建華出席北京電視節宣傳新片
August 24, 2006
Wallace Huo, Miriam Yeung and George Hu showed up in Beijing TV Festival to promote their new series Wu Shi Lang. This is the first time they got together after the filming was finished, and they started making fun of each other. George was very embarrassed because he tore his pants during shooting and there was even no time for repair.
Miriam put on both man and woman's dresses in this martial arts comedy and she said this series was crazier than her previous movies. She also became good friends with Wallace. There was a scene where Wallace and George fought for her love. They tried very hard to help her fit into the right emotion of that scene and got bruises all over their bodies. Miriam was so touched by these two cute boys that she even cried.
The appearance of Wallace in the TV festival caused quite a stir in the audience. He dedicated his many first times to Wu Shi Lang. For example, this is the first time he made a comedy, the first time he played the role of a greedy coward, put on woman's dresses, got injured in filming, looked ugly on screen, and moreover, carried a lot of firework with him. But he was also very proud of it and considered it as a big breakthrough in his TV career.

Wallace Huo Hard to Fall in Love
FHM International Chinese edition, Feb 2003
Edited and translated by orion
“A true woman is one who had been weathered by social experience and, a bit by age.” Wallace Huo, the actor-singer in the idol drama Star, mesmerized a lot of young girls with his captivating big eyes, but his taste for women was quite a surprise for those who, judging from Wallace's fans, thought he liked the younger ones. Not only appreciating the glamour of an age-weathered woman, he also took the challenge of attracting a more mature audience. He will play the role of an elite manager in his new drama Pretty Girl, showing us what he had achieved during these days of training. “Have you watched the movie Unfaithful? Diane Lane is the real woman.” It seems that he has an excellent taste for women. For those who fall into his favorite age groups, please stand up and hat off to your new Prince Charming – Wallace Huo!

Wallace Huo: A Cocktail with Magic Colors
Modern Music Field, July, 2006
Translated by orion
He is a knight with a daring heart, reticent and remote even when we see each other in face, leaving me only in a state of dreamy melancholy. That’s my imagination before meeting Wallace Huo. However, the first thing he did to me was shake my hands, then relaxing and smiling in his seat, wait for my interview. It was more than a joy to interview Wallace. When he said that his personality changed along with the characters he played, his versatile screen images flashed in my head, and reminded me that he was much more than just Prince Melancholy. I cannot help imagining him as a cocktail with rainbow colors, a liquid with magic that can only be sipped but not swallowed. I am very sure that people can never escape the allure of this magic flavor.
